Welcome to My Gallery of Complexity Art

All the images in the "Fractal Gallery" were produced by my program Face of Infinity. These complex and seemingly chaotic patterns emerged from the plane of imaginary numbers by the application of a very simple and quite orderly mathematical procedure (the Mandelbrot algorithm) to each of the numbers in the plane. Animated videos showing some of some of these images are available here. You can make your own fractal images using Face of Infinity.

All the images in the "CAPattern Gallery" were produced by my program CAPatternMaker. The patterns are produced as the cells in the pattern evolve from step to step changing their state (white or colored)  accordingAlbums.aspx.csAlbums.aspx to rules that depend only on their own state and that of their immediate neighborsAlbums.aspx in the previous step. A description of the rules and the meaning of the captions is given here. You can make your own CA images using CAPatternMaker.
